* There is a major timeline discrepancy in the described events of some terminal contents, and the exact occurrences of many of these things are unclear.
** The ''current'' canonical timeline is that the [[Terminal#birthday|birthday incident]] occurs on Tristan's 9th birthday; because Tristan is currently 9 in the game's events, this means that it, Dave's meeting with Recurser, and the mysterious email that Dave receives all happened within a rather short period of time prior to Dave encountering Boyfriend in-game. Dave finished and used the P.R.A.E.M two years before the birthday incident.
** The ''initial'' timeline had the birthday incident occur ''on'' Tristan's 7th birthday, two years before the events of the game. In this timeline, Dave finished and used the P.R.A.E.M. only a month before the birthday incident, and the meeting with Recurser happened some time during or shortly after it. The email arrives much later in time.
